Mihrab Privacy Policy

1. Data Mihrab uses

• Location or a manually selected city for prayer times, qibla and nearby mosque features.
• App preferences such as language, theme, madhab, prayer time calculation method, time format and notification settings.
• Local worship data such as prayer check-ins, make-up prayer records, streaks, dhikr progress and Quran progress.
• Local cached content and calculated prayer time data needed for faster loading and offline-friendly behavior.

2. How location is used

If you allow location access, Mihrab uses it to calculate prayer times, qibla direction and nearby mosque results. Mihrab does not use location for continuous tracking. If you choose a city manually, that selected city is stored on your device instead.

3. Notifications, audio and device permissions

Mihrab may ask for notification permission so it can show prayer reminders, content reminders and other reminders you enable. The app may also use device sensors for qibla guidance and audio features for Quran playback or notification sounds you choose. You can change permissions from your device settings.

4. Local storage and backups

Mihrab stores settings and worship records locally on your device. If you export a backup, the backup file is created for you to keep or move. Mihrab does not automatically upload your worship history to a Mihrab account or advertising profile.

5. Third-party services

• AlAdhan.com: used for Hijri date lookup. A date and approximate location information may be sent when needed.
• Binance API, GoldPrice.org and gold price services: used to retrieve market price information for zakat tools when available.
• Exchange rate services: used to convert currency values for zakat calculations when available.
• Map applications or map providers: may be opened when you choose navigation to a nearby mosque.

Mihrab does not send your prayer check-ins, make-up prayer records, dhikr history or Quran progress to these services.

6. Ads, analytics and tracking

Mihrab does not include an advertising network and does not build behavioral advertising profiles. If this changes in a future release, this policy and the store disclosure will be updated before that release.

7. Your choices

• You can use a manual city instead of precise location access.
• You can enable or disable notifications from the app or device settings.
• You can export local data where backup tools are provided.
• You can clear local app data by removing it from device app settings.

8. Children and sensitive use

Mihrab is a general religious utility app. It is not designed to collect personal information from children and it does not require a user account for its core features.
